DIY earings.

How easy it can be! I purchased a jewelry making kit a couple days ago, it's so much fun! I have not been up to anything else lately, just been occupied with making jewelry! These earrings a made from an old necklace I just did not wear anymore, so I decided to just make some cute earrings of them instead. cute cute!

Put a ring on it.

// River Island.

Me likey!

The day after tomorrow.

RIVER ISLAND
Payday on Friday which means us girls from work is going out! It's gonna be ace! I need a new dress and shoes but can't seem to find the perfect dress. It would be lovely to sew my own dress but there is no way I could get it done til Friday! anyways, River Island has got so much nice stuff in their shops at the min, way to much nice stuff to be correct. I love the neon yellow shoes in the pic above, well I love all items on the pic to be fare! The headbands are fab, so I'll try to make one myself next week, mission impossible? No I don't think so, it might take some time but I can't see it be too difficult for me to do myself....

Vegan!

Okey, here we go! I'm so motivated and I believe I can do this. I'm becoming a vegan! I have done loads of research and I came across the fact that us Humans do not need any meat, at all. We don't need any dairy what soever. All this time I thought that I need milk for my bones, but that's just serious bullshit. Feels like I've been brainwashed! So after today I'm not gonna eat anything from an animal. I feel really motivated and excited at the same time, this means a totally new diet and I get to try out so many different recipes! this is going to be so much fun! Thumbs up!

Ready, Steady, Flow

Do you know who I am?
I am alive, you understand?
the life the life the life the life the life

5 book you have to read!

Here is some of my absolute fav books. I'm not gonna write any reviews on them, but if you are looking for some exiting and "can out the book away", these 5 books will do the trick! A red most of them when I was around 12-15, I do not recommend reading these books at that young age, because they are scary and I did get nightmares from them, but I just could not find myself reading some typical stereotype teenage books! It had to be scary, heartbreaking, raw and exciting for me to finish a book.  I remember when I read Mice and Men by Steinbeck, how angry it made me feel and how much I just wanted to throw away the book and never read it again. Now I have read it at least 12 times! Same feeling with One flew over the cuckoos nest and Lord of the Flies. The Idiot and Master and The Margarita are brilliant books, I did feel so proud of myself reading them because I had so much difficoulties finishing the books, they were so hard to read, still again, Don't read them if your are too young, at least I did not have that kind of mentality at 14.  I'm off to the bookstore now because I can't wait to read these in English.

Swan Lake

Beautiful creatures they are!
pics by me//Victorian Lake, Stoke on Trent

Cosy-time

1. Rose made of hard glitter paper 2. glass jars, stenciled roses on 3. glass jars with rose stencils 4. Lampshade made of paper, cut into circles and glued on with a glue gun.

Best of all, I made them myself. :)

dull black!

I adore my black dress, it fits perfectly on me and it brings out my lovely curves, but it's just so darn dull! I'm thinking of giving it a total make over, but how or with what I don't know. I got total black out! Thinking of studs, but that again would not look so cool because the fabric is not "hard or steady" enough for the studs to look good, they would just look floppy (is that a word?). Let's see if my brain will come up with some amazing ideas, LET'S JUST WAIT AND SEE!

storage box

Storage box is what we all need. you can easily find them anywhere, but I think they look so dull! I made this one myself, from an old cardboard box I had lying around, some white paint, some rope, glue and paper. What I did was that I just glued my cardboard pieces together (with my glue gun), then I cut out some paper pieces in to squares. I found some in a magazine, i was aiming for green, white and gray colours. After I glued on all the paper pieces, I draw some rose and floral motives, and then cut them out for using as stencils. I used normal white paint (just random pain i found in the cellar) and used my stencil brush and dotted on some rose patterns on the box. after that I just randomly dotted on some white colour to make it look a bit more vintage and shabby. Then I wrapped some rope around it to make it look a bit more like a gift box, glued on a heart jewelry and thats it. Doesn't it look shabby chic. So simple! It really looks like the box is made of wood!

I CAN DO ALL MY SELF!

I have totally changed my way of thinking. If I go out shopping and I see something that I defo need or want, I always think if maybe I can do it myself. Like for an example, yday I saw there killer shoes, with glitter and a big ass bow in the front. I decided OH NO I'm not gonna buy them. So today I'm on a new mission. I'm gonna totally re do my old pair of high heels, get some glitter, glue and sew a bow out of some fancy material. And then the shoes should look something like them I saw yday, right? The shoes are gonna look a bit like them ones Judy Garland is wearing in The wizard of oz. SO OVER THE TOP but that's the way it goes for miss Carla! I'll show you guys later, if its not a fail of course.

square!

Last Sunday was one of THEM day, when I really really regret going out the night before. Waking up with the worst head ace ever, dry mouth and that awful sick feeling, why do I keep doing this to myself? I hate hate hate Alcohol, it brings out the worst of me (and btw, that sayin about when you're pissed, it brings out the real u is just a loads of crap), it makes me depressed the next day and I always get bruised up after a night out. I know I know, you should drink sensibly, but everyone knows that it's almost impossible, at least for me.
Nai Nai Nai.
I drink maybe twice a month (that does not include one glass of wine occasionally), I mean going out-drinking. I would love to totally skip the alcohol, but it is a social thingie isn't it? I do order a glass of juice sometimes instead of larger, but watching football at our local pub, drinking soda, it just does not go together now does it. Hmm, totally skip alcohol could be an option, but..........

My name is Carla, and I'm a Craftaholic!

March came with lovely weather and it's more or less Spring in Stoke. I've been over hyperactive lately when it comes to crafts and being creative. Our garden has had a total make over, planted lots of flowers, my own herbs and in a couple of weeks I'm gonna plant some tomatoes and potatoes.
This whole Recycling/Organic/Eco/friendly style has really gotten to me, which is absolutely wonderful. I have saved so much money lately by really thinking trough before I buy something. Is it really necessarily for me to buy this? Maybe I can make it myself? often the answer is yes, I can make it myself, and is so much fun! And that feeling that you get after creating something is amazing.
The only thing I need now is a working space. I've been saving up so much fabric, papers, tiles, glue, paint and so on, so I defo need a work space, and that's gonna be a project as well. Try to squeeze in a work table in our little bedroom is gonna be challenging, but I'm defo up for a challenge! Let's see how it turn out shall we.

Here is some of my crafts;

Flowers made of paper, glued on spray painted branches. An easy but so pretty idea.

Don't know what to do with all your earrings? I decided to get some branches from our back yard and spray paint them white. Then just hang up earrings and it's gonna look stunning.

a rose made of plastic teaspoons, melted together and glued onto a vase. Pretty!

Sugar rush.

I have been baking for almost everyday for the past 3 weeks. Luckily, I have not put any weight on, must be because of my daily walks I've started. Good. Well back to baking, some pics of some delicious delights.

Breakfast Scones a la Cupcake, with whipped cream and Jam. Perfect for Sunday Breakfast!

This Rasberry-blackberry cheese cake with whipped cream is dangerous, and I mean it. A couple weeks ago i decided to try out this yummie, it all ended with me eating the whole cake that day. I know it's not healthy, but f me it was sooo nice.So I decided to make one yday for our traditional Sunday Dinner at Kirby's and Ruth's house.

tomorrow is my love's birthday and we are gonna celebrate it with a cosy dinner at home and my babes favorite cake, the Cheesecake a la ice cream. Can't wait.
